No effect unfortunately, after removing all remnants of my old AMD drivers I am still crashing right after making it through the initial logo splash screens

If you have "pieces" of old amd gpu drivers, you should use this: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

I thank you for the link, but unfortunately I'm still having the issue. Do you have any other ideas? Thank you for the support thus far by the way.

Your mobo has an old bios (06/21/11). I don't know which mobo you have, but is it possible to update it with a new (most recent) one?

i can try, I also only have a quad core so I'm going to try setting up a user config file once the game finished reinstalling (figure it's worth a shot)
