In my case of this issue, I found that my pc was actually producing a blue screen but restarted before it could come up. I guess that it is a driver issue, because the blue screen is telling me that a driver has given the windows kernel bad code to run. I recommend getting whocrashed and seeing if you also have blue screens from the game.
