Star Wars Battlefront Won't Start

I purchased this game almost three weeks ago but just now have had the time to play it. I start it up in Origin and it loads all the way to the start screen but when it tells me to press enter to continue, none of the button commands go through. I can alt+tab to get out of the window but I can't advance past the start screen.

Without a real, discrete video graphics adapter circuit board, you can't play this game.

    Recommended PC System Requirements

OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
        Processor (Intel): Intel i5 6600 or equivalent (3.3 / 3.9 GHz)
        Memory: 16GB RAM
Hard Drive: At least 40 GB of free space
Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB
DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection

Intel makes no game-capable video chips.

My specs are: 8GB RAM, OS Windows 10, Intel HD Graphics 5500, and CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU at 2.20 Ghz. It's a new computer, about a month old @TapouTony420

I'm sorry to inform you, but your issue is that your PC cannot handle this game.  First off, your i5 is a very slow one since it is a laptop CPU.  Secondly, and most importantly, you do not have a dedicated GPU, which is ESSENTIAL for this game.  The minimum is a GTX 660, and you only have the "Intel HD 5500", which is only the integrated graphics on the CPU.  There is no chance that those will ever handle this game.  Sorry!!

Although laptops are dead end hardware, if that is a stationary computer, not mobile, and not miniature sized, it may accept a couple of upgrades to bring it into gaming quality limits.  During Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, GPUs able to play the game were available as inexpensively as $91 after rebates, and upgraded power supplies to match for $50.

Bargains quite that good may not be easily found now, however, there are various Overstocks and Surplus markets to check with to see what they have that will handle the game without as great a cost as it would be from many brick and mortar storefronts.

    P. S. I added the "@" flagged forum ID so you'd get a notice that someone referenced you in here.
