I was expecting that the issue was going to be solved with the last update but it wasn't. I just made a custom profile in my monitor to play this game at decent colors.
The colours are washed out because of hdmi 2.0 limitations. 4K hdr works only with yuv colour space. To have a full rgb colour space with hdr you need to change res to 1080p. The game looks as it should in full rgb hdr.
Perhaps if you are using a low level HDMI cable, but at HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 and above, you have no such bandwidth issues.
