Framerate is unaffected. Interesting point regardung hero units. I will test this out though I don't think it is the case.
I mean the frameTIMES, that's the time your graphics card needs to render one frame. If this time is unstable, it can cause terrible stutter, while the frameRATE is high and stable.
The normal frametime when running at 60 fps (vsync on) should be something around 16 to 17 ms.
