    Hi @stockcitygamer To confirm are you online or offline in the EA App?

    Also, when you have a moment can you run through the following?

    • Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
    • EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
    • Connection and Advance Connection Guides 
    • Untick the options in LAN Settings (make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server) 
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)

To fix this, log into your EA account with your steam account.  Launch the game from the shortcut steam creates on the desktop.  I have had no EA server connection problems since.

This did the trick! 
As for anti-virus software issues, I guess they could still be an issue with some.
