SW:BF Flight Control issues (the control interpretation, not my flying)
Hello,
Flying aircraft in Star Wars: Battlefront has become rather awkward. During the Beta, flight of tje aircraft (T.I.E. Fighter's, X-Wings, etc) felt rather direct and appropriate. After the November 17th release the flight controls felt like they were changed to a delayed "Follow the Mouse" mechanism which is atrocious for this type of gameplay. That's okay for Diablo or Gauntlet, but not FPS / flying. There is literally a mouse cursor visible while in aircraft and instead of pulling up or down, or turning/rolling left or right when moving the mouse, the cursor moves some distance and then the aircraft reluctantly follows while shaking all over the place. Even when not moving the mouse, and while on ground in the game, there is no jitter nor unwanted mouse/camera movement).
Was this an error, possibly a bad "goof" control input interpretation ported from what should have been applied to console versions of the software for PS4/XBone gamepads? Or is there an option missing from the settings screen to enable the more direct, familiar and desired. What I meant by "direct control" would be much like what is experienced in games like when flying the aircraft in Battlefield 3 and BF4. Because EA and DICE could not have been serious about passing the current flight control of having the aircraft hesitantly and buggily chase the yellow in-game mouse cursor, unless they were trying to prove a point after a number of non-flyers whined about flight controls (I have, and witnessed others, flown quite well with successful daring maneuvers during Beta). By non-flyers I mean the fools who never even dreamed of flying anything complained about crashing the first five seconds they tried to pilot any video game aircraft ever, and, who often aimed at the ground and activated their afterburner boost of course, nor bothered to slow down when trying to turn.
