@The_HopfotIts a PvP game not "Microsoft Flight Simulator".
Also why in the world would you show a Cockpit picture of a COMMERCIAL AIRLINER?
How about actual Fighter planes?

There is a reason Fighter pilot cockpits have nonobstructive views.Maybe next time make similar comparisons.

Calm down, and re-read my last comment.
Also the commercial airliner was the best I could find showing a pilots eye view, to compare to the likes of the TIE Reaper, a support ship. A C130 herculies, which would be on pair with the TIE Reaper as a transport and support gunship, hasn't got a much better view than a commercial airliner. point and case. and as I stated in my previous comment which you have hopefully gone back and read now, TIEs were designed cheap, buy the cheapest bidder (in-universe). And they are what they are. got a problem, take it up with the original designers back in the 70's.
And yes, it's not MS Flight Sim. But it is a Fiction Space Combat Flightsim based on already predetermined designs.Actually, I'll tell you what, how about we compare this correctly.
We're talking about spaceships right, so let's make a comparison with the closet thing we have on earth, piloted by military personal on earth.
Now I could really cheat here and give you a Pilot's view of an apollo space craft or the space shuttle, but they're not really military aircraft. SO we have to look at military aircraft, so we could go for the f-22 raptor.Aren't too many pics out there as it is classified. Nice big round bubble, much like the A-Wing, no real surprise there.
But let's get realistic here, the F-22 Raport has an operational ceiling of 60,000 feet. that's not close enough to space. let's go higher.
SR-71 operating altitude it's reported as 85,000, with rumour it could actually make 100,000. for those playing at home, that is very close to the edge of space. Let's see what that cockpit looks like....Not much a view there. Infact, even less than the TIE Fighter.
Now yes, both these pics are showing a bit more than what the field of view is. it's still a fairly accurate representation..... HOWEVER, I suppose what we really need to to here is look at the TIE Fighter, the actual ship it's all based on.
Oh my, there appears to be a rather large instrument panel covering around half the cockpit view window..... I guess they'll just have to redo it all over. should be something more like this...
That, seems more accurate to the original model designed for the movies. 😃
That's not an F-22 in your first picture. it's an F-16.
This is an F-22:

Close enough. :P But thank you for the correction.
Damn that is nice looking cockpit.Every game has a HUD of some kind. If that doesn't case screen burn then a cockpit wont either.
And then we advance a generation with the F-35:
It looks so sick!
I agree with OP. It looks a bit out of place.
For comparison check these links :
Tie fighter attack A New Hope ( check at 2:40)
It could indeed be VR screen captures and hence more of the cockpit is visible on 2D projection, but if not, they should allow more visibility in the cockpit and scale down the instruments.
Anyway, very excited for this title !
And many examples in this video of course :
