Thrust Master T-Flight HOTAS One button mapping

I'm not a fan of using the twist function of the flight stick to roll your ship. I've looked at reconfiguring this function to the large rocker buttons on the back of the throttle lever. The game allows me to allocate the right rocker button to Right Roll function, but I can't allocate the left Rocker Button to Left Roll function, it just doesn't recognise it. I've tried it several times with no joy. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the T-Flight HOTAS One (Xbox)?

@Greggors2801 Yeah, due to the Manual this function seems to work only for PC.

    "NOTES ON PC
    - On PC, in 4/6 axes mode, the throttle’s rocking button and the rudder axis on the TFRP rudder pedals system (sold separately) are coupled with the handle’s rotation.
The joystick’s LED indicator lights up in white.

    - On PC, in 5/8 axes mode, the throttle’s rocking button and the rudder axis on the TFRP rudder pedals system (sold separately) become independent of the handle’s rotation, thereby providing 3 additional progressive axes. The joystick’s LED indicator goes off.

To instantly switch between one mode and the other, simply press the XBOX GUIDE button."

  • @Greggors2801 Does your T-Flight has a mode switch button (4 axes/5 axes). The roll is on the mode of 5. I have TF Hotas X and it works quite OK.
  • Install the thrust master drivers and stuff, when you go into the properties you can add more axis which will enable those rudder paddles on thrust

  • I use X roll and Y pitch, and my rudder pedals to yaw(or u can use twist on stick)
no idea why default roll is setup on what is normally the yaw control in most flight games, its an odd setup.
Took a while to fix these clunky default setting game has for hotas setups. was a pain in the A to fix it.

I also very much dislike the console menu system * its terrible menu system*

And why no head tracking and why is the look mode locking most of the controls  for flying , can only roll when u enable look mode

I hope they fix it and allow head tracking...

  • @krztov The Thrust Master T-Flight HOTAS One is for PC and Xbox One, I'm using it for the Xbox One as I don't have a PC.
  • @skif_b Hi, I don't believe it does have this mode. The only external switch is to alternate between PC and Xbox. I'm using this for Xbox as I don't own a PC.
  • @Stix_nz_09 I don't like the stick twist function to roll the ship. I'd find it easier using the rocker buttons on the throttle, but can't map the left rocker to left roll.

If you have access to a pc check for firmware updates, i have the PS4 branded one (though I’m using it on pc), check the manual, there’s likely a way to toggle the modes for Xbox

  • @skif_b I have the PS3 version of this hotas and that switch had screwed me up a few times. I also am having issues rebinding roll. I can get left roll to bind but not right. I'm having this issue with my x52. I will test the thrust master Tonight
