Can you try running the repair function and check again? Right-click the game panel to get this option.
If the issue persists please try a Clean Boot and check again.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have tried what you suggested step-by-step but still it did not work. I also uninstalled and re-installed the game while in clean boot... but kept getting same results ☹️ Is there another solution please? Is there any possibility of a fix of some sort on this issue?

@bezdaniel I suspect your issue is unique, I haven't seen it elsewhere.
Can you try a clean reinstall of your drivers for the GTX 770?http://help.ea.com/au/article/finding-devices-and-updating-drivers/

I have tried this as well, but still the same problem persists. I suspect this is a bug in the game. Is there any possible fix or patch in the future that at least I can look forward to if there is no other solution? I paid money like everyone else for this game, tried everything, and still it does not function properly. And frankly I still want to play it.
