Windows 10/Nvidia Drivers ... computer crashing hard

Every so often, either Windows 10 updates or Nvidia updates and then this game becomes unplayable. The game opens and usually about the time it establishes a server connection, my computer just instantly reboots. Usually I just wait a few weeks and maybe a new Nvidia driver comes out and the game becomes playable again. This time, I've tried reverting back to an old Nvidia driver from a time frame I know it worked and it's still crashing. I'm guessing it's Windows 10 since there are so many people complaining about their updates, but a lot of this mess started with the Geforce Experience 3 update. Reverting that back to 2.0 doesn't fix the problem tho.

I love this game, but I paid $120 for it and don't feel like I should have to waste hours of time version controlling my system trying to find the magic configuration in order to play it again. Can something be done to make Windows 10, Nvidia drivers, and this game play nicely? Some stats below:

Intel Core i7 4770k

MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming motherboard

16GB DDR3 memory

PSU - Corsair 850W

Geforce GTX 980 Ti; driver 372.70 (also tried 375.70)

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 

Version 1607

Build 14393.351

DirectX 12.0

    Hi @Argyle_V and welcome to Answers HQ!

    Battlefront crashes should not be that much affected by different drivers and windows updates and IF they crash they should definitely not reboot your computer.

    What have you done to try and fix this issue?

    Tried a complete uninstall with DDU followed by a reainstall? http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

    Tried scanning the harddrive for errors and checking it with S.M.A.R.T.?

    Tried doing a sfc /scannow to test for Windows file integrity errors?
