Try the following steps and see if that helps.
- Select Debug Mode in the NVIDIA Control Panel
 
- Perform a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
 - Run a clean installation of your GPU drivers

Did all of this, still it crashed at the exact same part of the cutscene.

Ok so I did some additional steps.
I ran a DDU uninstall of every possible display adapter driver in safe mode. I also completely removed afterburner from my system and I seem to have made it past the first cutscene and first fight. I don't have time to play now but I will continue tonight and update if I have further crashing.
I have officially spent 90+ minutes in this game before getting through the first cutscene and at least another 90+ troubleshooting, this has been quite the experience thus far.
