NG+ first death makes you lose all abilities and points (BUG)
Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor Platform:PlayStation 5 Summarize your bug Started a NG+ and played with no issues for about an hour and while still on Coruscant died for the first time in the NG+ playthrough and then respawned back at the most recent meditation point. However, when i respawned I had 0 abilities unlocked (i had already rebought all of them after starting the new playthrough), no points available (even though i should have still had about 60 left of points refunded at the very beginning of NG+) and starting health. My NG+ autosaved so im pretty much stuck with no ability points and all of the upgrade menu completely greyed out and the perks menu completely missing. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start NG+ Play to at least first meditation point Die to an enemy and respawn mack and meditation point What happens when the bug occurs? On first death in NG+, you lose all your abilities, stances, and available ability points and your health is reset to starting level. Anytime i try to launch the EA app closes then reopens with a message that says "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." It has been days of me getting the same message. I also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and the app. I've tried to run as an admin to launch the game. I've verified the files on steam to make sure that wasn't an issue. I have talked to many online agents, ive been shuffled to higher ups on multiple levels. I have been troubleshoooting this error for over 6 days now, 3 days with the help of EA online chat. and we cannot find a solution to this game. I have played on this PC over 100 hours in the game. New game plus'd the game and now i cannot launch it. I have tried many different suggestions from the EA team to troubleshoot. Nothing worked. i was told at first it was a license refresh that was needed and to wait for a unspecified time. i waited 3 days, every day i would go through the trouble shooting methods until the third day, which is today where i said this became unacceptable. Ive done IPconfig resets. that worked kind of. It launched the game, and it went through the Main credit logos. Respawn Electronic Arts Lucus Films and the It says the TItle "Jedi Survivor". The game proceeds to go dark and then go into an infinite loading loop on screen. i waited 15 minutes. no idications for shadows or any other graphical adjustment. just spinning lines drawing over and over. i finally checked task manager and the app said it wasnt responding. so i closed the task. I then launched the game again and waited for the game to launch and load. i had task managewr open. and when it hit that same laoding screen. task manager said the app wasnt responding. i ended the task again. I then verified the files on steam (Probably the 5th time i did that in 6 days redownloaded the game 3 times ): ) When i tried to open the game again. it didn't launch. i got the same error message that i got 6 days ago. I am lost. The EA online helper guy told me to fill this out. It’s absolutely ridiculous that the Kenobi cosmetics haven’t been released in an update or at the very least as a purchasable dlc. I get to the area in foggy expanse or fogged expanse I forget where it’s all fiery and you got the dart ability from the fallen ship, I’m trying to get to Dagan and the platform I need to grapple up to that’s above where the ship was isn’t there. Instead of showing the combination on screen the player is shown a red circle, meaning the action is locked. The game's progress appears to be stuck in a progress state where this ability is not yet unlocked. Thus preventing the player from completeing the required action to progress further. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? For me the bug occured after dying once in the hangar sequence. Upon respawn the game started to load in the info bits (like enemies and plant info) on screen, during which I quit to title screen. What happens when the bug occurs? After the events described above, the player is unable to collapse the hangar entrance by using the R1+X force ability. Additionaly, the game's progress indicator (under load game) is stuck at 21% (down from about 60ish), at which point the force abilities accessible by pressing the R1+(face button) combinations are not yet unlocked. This supposition is backed up further by the menu's 'Controller' section, which shows the R1+(face button) abilities as locked. What do you expect to see? While playing as Cere I get to the point where I need to use force slam to collapse the hanger ceiling. I see a red "NO" symbol and it will not trigger. I have tried all different ways to reboot, clear cache, power down restart and so on. Game-breaking progression bug–Rehabilitation Wing vision sequence softlock (PS5)
Hello, I am experiencing a game-breaking progression bug in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PlayStation 5. Platform: PlayStation 5 Pro Location: Forest Array → Rehabilitation Wing (vision sequence after elevator and door cutscene) Issue: After entering the Rehabilitation Wing and triggering the cutscene, the first phase of the vision sequence plays correctly. However, the second phase of the vision (Dagan Gera and Santari Khri appearance on the platform) never triggers. The scene remains stuck in the initial vision state, and there is no way to progress further in the story. The objective marker remains active, but the scripted event does not continue. What happens in-game: Elevator → Rehabilitation Wing loads correctly Cutscene triggers normally First vision phase starts Player regains control No second phase spawn occurs No progression possible (softlock) Steps already tried: Full game restart Reloading save (Load Journey / Continue) Reinstalling the game Clearing cache / rebuilding PS5 database Changing graphics/performance modes Restarting console Re-entering the area multiple times Result: The issue persists consistently and completely blocks story progression. Additional notes: The save system only uses a single overwriting save slot, so no earlier manual save is available to revert progression. Started playing the game this morning for the first time on PC. Played for around ~90 minutes or so, then took a short lunch. On relaunching the game, it now crashes as soon as the title logo appears. I've tried repairing files, the app, reinstalling the whole game, verifying file integrity, launching at a lower resolution, turning off any and all overlays/overclocking applications, etc. Nothing has worked. The crash is typically (but not always) in the form of an Unreal engine error. Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor Platform:PC Summarize your bug After dropping down into the generator underbelly I triggered the cutscene to unlock slam and lift when pressing the map button. After the cutscene finished I got the button inputs to display on the turrets for doing a slam, as well as the door, but pressing the focus button doesn't focus on any of the available targets, and using either button combination just makes me jump/use my force attack. I'm also stuck down here due to the save point at the bottom of the shaft, so I can't retrigger the cutscene nor can I revert to the previous meditation point. Reloading the save, dying, using different input options, remapping inputs, changing difficulty, enabling/disabling sending data to EA, and relaunching the game does nothing to fix the issue. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play through the story until you get to the point just before the generator underbelly, drop down, block the turret fire, open the map at the console in the middle of the room. Finish watching cutscene, run back to bottom of the shaft What happens when the bug occurs? I can't use the force slam or force lift, effectively hard locking me in place What do you expect to see? To be able to use the force slam and lift to destroy the turrets and open the door I can't target lock onto the turrets, and it seems like the bool that allows the player to use the force slam and lift aren't toggled properly. The fact that there's no way to revert to before the drop also makes this a lot more painful, as I literally can't leave. So, I go to report a bug and the only option I am given is to post something here??? Really, so EA doesn't want to support their game? It looks like someone I spoke to in the past got a little butt hurt that I was annoyed that their game doesn't work and I asked them to actually fix the problem. That appears to be beyond the ability of the "support" at EA, which there is none anyway. Like so many other people that are being ignored, the game crashes after playing with an error that it is "unable to access <insert memory address>". As a software developer myself you know what the tells me... your game is reading from memory where it shouldn't be... could be a bad pointer, could be any number of reasons. You know what though, I can't fix it because I didn't write the code. I wonder if anyone at EA actually would recognize code if it was shown to them. It is more like they think this is all just magic and they don't know how it actually works. I saw some suggestions that it is the users computer that is the problem, really? We all know that EA doesn't actually know how to fix any of this and it is a complete fluke and miracle that anything actually gets created in the first place and the fact that any of it even works is yet another miracle. I completed the Chamber of Clarity and obtained the Fellowship Perk. I checked out all the echos and opened the chests as well. On the map it shows the chamber as 100% explored but the rumor still shows on the map. It also says I have to pick up the treasure there still. There's nothing left to pick up or open. I even went to the Alignment Control Center to see if all the terminals were lit up. The only one not lit is the Chamber of Clarity. I purchased the game on May 1st, 2026, and it was working perfectly for the first few days. However, since yesterday, I have been unable to open the game.
