The game won't start
Hi there, this game just won't start. All I get is a black screen and this thing that pops up (attached down below). I've tried literally every solution I managed to google. All the drivers are up to date—not only have I checked them manually, but also consulted a dedicated driver updated offered by my antibug. I also tried disabling one graphics card so my gaming laptop uses only the other one, but to no effect, let alone uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game several times in different locations, which I've also tried. Hope there is a way to fix this issue because I really feel like playing this game. After I switch off NVIDIA and use Intel only, the game starts and I can hear the intro music but don't see anything except a black screen. I get a different kind of error: LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 258] Direct3DDevice->CreateShaderResourceView failed at D:/depot/r8branches/r8release/Engine/Source/Runtime/Windows/D3D11RHI/Private/D3D11UAV.cpp:249 with error E_INVALIDARG Another difference is that now the game switches off by itself. Hello, I purchased and downloaded Star Wars Jedi Survivor in the EA app. When I start the game, I just about get past the publisher screens, but the game crashes on the STAR WARS: Jedi Survivor screen. Before that, I get a sound bug on the RESPAWN screen. I have already restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, repaired the game, and reinstalled the EA app. None of this has helped. The attached file shows the error message in the EA App. It says: Game could not be started Due to an error on our part, the start failed. Last year, Steam introduced a new LATAM region which includes many countries in Latin America such as mine, and also added suggested prices to make games more affordable while boosting sales. Hi everyone, I'm experiencing a long-standing issue and hope someone can help. A while ago, I disabled the "Share usage data" option in the EA App. After doing so, I noticed that achievements stopped unlocking—both in the EA App and on Steam. I later re-enabled the data sharing, but achievements still don't unlock, no matter what I do. This issue has been ongoing for over two years, and I’ve tried everything I could find online: reinstalling the EA App, verifying game files, syncing accounts, and more. Nothing has worked so far. It seems like something broke permanently when I disabled that option, and the normal achievement functionality hasn't returned since. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows of a fix, I’d really appreciate your help! Hi, I've been in contact with the help chat and they redirected me to this forum. I've been playing Jedi survivor on my ps5 through the PSextra subscription. I wasn't able to launch the game since it left the PSextra game pool so I decided to purchase EA-play in order to keep playing. However I still can't launch the game, I tried removing it from my console but now I can't even re-download it because it says there is a conflict with the product: Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Tracker. Tapping the jump button while wall running or wall jumping has no effect. Unfortunately this makes some of the terrain traversal sections involving wall running very difficult to complete and the First wall jumping section in the meat processing plant on Coruscant is completely impassable and prevents all further progress in the game How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game with Keyboard and mouse. Bind 'jump' to the 'E' button (and interact with 'space') Go to the wall jump section in the meat plant on Coruscant and while Cal is 'attached' to the wall press 'E' to try and jump off. Nothing happens. Cal slides of the wall and the section is impassible. What happens when the bug occurs? Cal does not jump off the wall as expected (and as happens in Fallen order) Pressing the jump button has no effect This makes certain aspects of terrain traversal on Coruscant either extremely difficult, or in the case of wall jumping- Impossible to complete. What do you expect to see? I expect Cal to jump off the wall as commanded. While this is also a problem earlier in the level with wall running (the only way to disconnect from the wall seems to be to fall off); unfortunately this problem makes the mandatory wall jump shortly after the meat conveyer on Coruscant impossible to complete. All Cal will ever do is jump at and attach himself to the wall and then a second later slide back down to the ground. Just recently bought this game and played for about an hour. Currently stuck at this level (koboh) where I cannot get past the mud area (with the falling pipe and a floating platform). Apparently there should be a couple of enemies spawning right before that obstacle and I can only hear the voicelines, yet they’re not spawning. Hi, i bought 'Jedi: Survivor' and from begging i have problem 'cause this game is not working. Since the begging when i enter the game its all flashing and it freezes. I've tried everything i minimalized graphics settings and deleted everything from my computer to see if it helps, but it didnt. Also when i dowloaded it on other computer it was all the same. Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor Platform:PlayStation 5 Summarize your bug I made it to buried refuge meditation point on Jedha, then I played through the excavator setpiece until getting back to the temple. I passed through the green laser wall in the temple, then died while fighting the third group of stormtroopers in that hallway. After being sent back to the meditation point, the excavator tentacle in the hallway is frozen and doesn't move as you approach. There's enough room to run past it, but doing so causes the audio to stutter then cut out and the game to go into a loop of freezing for 10 seconds and then playing for a second or two. Pause menu is still accessible when the game isn't frozen, and previous save was listed as 21.5 hours ago at one point, when it should have been less than a minute. The path back from the meditation point as well as fast travel are blocked due to this being a setpiece. Loading into the training environment or dying at various points does not alleviate the issue. I also tried progressing using the short segments the game is not frozen, but the game crashed eventually both times I tried so I was not able to make it far. I hope someone can help me. I use the EA app on my PC. When I play STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor with the Dual Sense (PS5 controller), the sound usually doesn't work via the controller (e.g. when opening the minimap). The Local Recluse rumor and Vashtan Wolfe fight never happen. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Fully complete a normal journey 2. Start a NJ+ game with the fully complete game as a starting point 3. Do everything on Koboh you can do (including all conversations). What happens when the bug occurs? For the Local Recluse rumor, Cal can enter the room, but BD-1 cannot read the datapads (Cal already has those collectibles from the previous game) and the NPC never appears, even after every conversation with Guu and Gido. For Vashtan Wolfe, Cal can enter the space and Vashtan will talk to him, but since the crate is already unlocked and opened, Cal cannot unlock and open it again and Vashtan never appears. I assume these are the things missing necessary to get Koboh to 100% What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to get and complete the Local Recluse rumor and to fight and defeat Vashtan Wolfe and get Koboh to 100%. Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor Platform:PlayStation 5 Summarize your bug Started a NG+ and played with no issues for about an hour and while still on Coruscant died for the first time in the NG+ playthrough and then respawned back at the most recent meditation point. However, when i respawned I had 0 abilities unlocked (i had already rebought all of them after starting the new playthrough), no points available (even though i should have still had about 60 left of points refunded at the very beginning of NG+) and starting health. My NG+ autosaved so im pretty much stuck with no ability points and all of the upgrade menu completely greyed out and the perks menu completely missing. How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start NG+ Play to at least first meditation point Die to an enemy and respawn mack and meditation point What happens when the bug occurs? On first death in NG+, you lose all your abilities, stances, and available ability points and your health is reset to starting level. I purchased Jedi Survivor in steam a while back and am excited to replay it, but I ran into a problem with it launching. After clicking play, it starts and then stops. It then opens EA and asks for permissions. After I click ok, it continues until giving me an error message saying it was an error on your end. I have tried the following with no help: Verifying the integrity of the game files, reinstalling the game, putting "-dx12" or dx11" in the launch options, clearing cache on the EA app, updating drivers, and looking for possible virus detectors blocking the game. None of these things have worked. I would love to play your game again. I asked roughly this time last year if we could purchase the pre-order content and was told it would be passed along. After spending time on Reddit I can confirm that there is still a huge interest in having those cosmetics unlocked or available for purchase. Two years have passed since the game was released and still no update on whether or not we will ever be able to get this content. Please unlock this content or make it available for purchase soon! As a huge fan of Fallen Order and Survivor, I’ve spent countless hours exploring these games, and I’m incredibly excited for the upcoming conclusion with Jedi 3. Below are a few options/features I’d love to see in the final game: Broken Pommel Lightsaber Option It would be amazing to have the option to use Cal’s old, broken pommel from Fallen Order as a lightsaber design. This could be an unlockable feature after completing the game, allowing you to equip it in a new play-through. If selected as your primary saber, you’d need to use a secondary one for dual-wielding as they wouldn't be able to separate (perhaps it just hangs from his belt when not in use), and you’d be unable to use the double-bladed style due to the damaged pommel. Customization ‘Character Default’ In addition to still having full customization options, I’d love a feature that lets players choose from ‘Character Default’ options when customizing Cal’s attire, weapons, and BD-1. By selecting one of these, the characters would switch to their appearance to how it appeared at the start of previous titles or a specific point in a previous game. For example, choosing “Fallen Order” would restore Cal’s hair, clothing, and lightsaber to match his look at the beginning of Fallen Order. Could add an "Inquisitor" option to default Cal to match his Inquisitor look from the Fallen Order vision he had. Or "Imperial/ISB Outfit" from when he went to Nova Garon to find Bode in Survivor. Force Block/Hold (Expanded Combat) A final idea would be the ability to use the Force to block blaster bolts in mid-air or stop an enemy lightsaber swing by halting its momentum (similar to what we've seen in live-action with Ahsoka, Kenobi, and the Sequel trilogy). This could drain a significant amount of your Force energy, making it a move to use sparingly or as a last resort to turn the tide of battle. Anyway, these are just some ideas that came to mind and something I wanted to put out into the universe as I am doing another play-through of Survivor and thinking of what I'd like in the next game. I’m eagerly anticipating how the story and gameplay will evolve in Jedi 3.
