Drya Thornne bug

Playing on Xbox Series S last night and I also had this issue; I defeated Drya Thornne and received the Crossguard Stance. Did the sense echo, used the workbench (and could only modify the crossguard), saved at the meditation point, Drya respawned and we both had the Crossguard. They killed me after a 15-minute battle since they were now invincible, when I respawned I was now stuck in this glitch where I no longer have the crossguard and you cannot defeat them. I tried closing out the game entirely, restarting the console entirely, and nothing. Now I face using a "hack" to bypass Drya and not receive the crossguard or creating a new save and having to start completely over.
