Fallen order vs Survivor graphics differences

How come I can run epic with no issues in fallen order, but Jedi Survivor can't even handle low and FPS fluctuates between 5 - 30? Crashes at random points, but the most frustrating aspect is that graphics issue. FSR and ray tracing off, but nothing between low and epic makes a difference in the quality I see.

  • @MjolnirVallaur  Jedi Fallen Order was released in 2019.  Hardware is a lot more powerful now.  That's not to say that Jedi Survivor is properly optimized, because it appears not to be at all, only that this isn't really a fair comparison.

Speaking of comparisons, the game has been running great for me on my 9700K and 2070, on high settings and 2560x1440, RTX off, although performance is noticeably worse on Koboh after patch 1.04.  That's desktop hardware, obviously, which may make a difference.  I don't know if your laptop is overheating, but my CPU and GPU are not close to their thermal limits.  At any rate, I did turn off motion blur right away, so try that.

I've read that other than on Epic settings, the game is rendered at a lower resolution and then upscaled, so you could also try setting the game to Epic and then lowering the graphics options individually.
