Force Focus doesn't work

I am in the Lucrehulk where you learn Force Lift and Slam, but Focus doesn't work. Same thing used to happen when I told Bode or Merrin to attack someone or tried to use Confusion. Didn't think it really mattered but now I am softlocked. This happens both when using R1 on my controller or ctrl on my Keyboard. Tried changing and resetting the binds but neither of those worked.
