Game Breaking Bug - Generator Underbelly Lift Trigger Wont Return Player

Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug You can get stuck in the Generator Underbelly on Kobo because the lift to take you back up doesn't trigger. There is not way back out.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? You can get stuck in the Generator Underbelly on Kobo because the lift to take you back up doesn't trigger. If you are at the point in the story where you are about to save Zee, you can take the turbolift down instead of saving Zee. From the main area, you can back-track to the point where Rayvis grabs you, and a cutscene is triggered. If you drop into that area, there is no way back up, and the forward route is using your lightsaber to descend the elevator shaft. If you continue to re-trace your patch back to the lift that takes you out, the lift will not go up. You end up stuck in the Generator Underbelly with no way of returning.
What happens when the bug occurs? You are stuck in the underbelly with no way up. You will reload the save point in the underbelly. The way in was a shaft. The way back out is an elevator that won't trigger.
What do you expect to see? The elevator should take you back up so you aren't stuck in this level.

Class: A - Game breaking

  • @GloriousJim The solution was found. Unlike every other lift in the game, this one can be called by using the control panel on the outside of the elevator. Once you call it, the doors will close, the lift will come down, and the doors will open again when the lift is ready to take you up. Once it takes you to the top, you will be back at the core with a meditation point in front of you. You have to make your way back to the turbo lift by crossing the bridge in front of you, and pulling down (force pull down) the small lift that stands above the battle droid that is usually there. You will have to go to the left to get back into the turbolift elevator that takes you back to Zee. Once in the elevator, it will take 30 seconds to take you to the top. The elevator can be exited from two sides when at the top. One room has a box that you can smash and get a clothing/hair piece, the other side will take you back into the corridor just before you find Zee again.

  • I was hoping the latest patch would fix it, but no luck yet. I really don’t want to start my game over.

@9d753666b4d261f5 When you say "the lift will not go up" do you mean that once you walk into the elevator, it doesn't start moving upwards?

Or is the call button to call the elevator back down not working?

I know this elevator in particular (the one you see Zee captured in, Turbolift) travels very far, so when you call it down it takes a good 20-30s to arrive.

Can you clarify what isn't working with the lift?
  • @ka3ylah1p82w There isn't a call button. It seems once the whole sequence is triggered to follow Zee up, the lift never returns to the bottom position. In my case, I saw Zee, but chose to explore. I accidentally went back down the turbo lift, and couldn't figure out how to get back to the corridor Zee was in. I decided to back track all the way. In falling down the long shaft that brings you down to the Underbelly, it appears the lift if A. not at the bottom to be brought back up, and B. you're not able to call it. I can idle in the bottom of the lift shaft for a while to see if it comes, but there is no indication that anything is happening.

  • I could not slam pull the turrents , but I could open the gate so I did get past it.. but ctrl + space just doesn't work..

  • I seem to have accidentally passed through the initial red gate blocked by the two shield turrents BEFORE i was supposed to.

Now, I'm actually trapped in this spot in the game without the new ability to lift and slam yet. I must have missed the cere cutscene and cant trigger it again.

    I think I'm stuck...
