Re: Error code CE-108255-1 on PlayStation

@everyone

This issue is currently being investigated by the relevant teams. 

In other games, we have seen recently that reducing the number of people in your friends list to below 100 can help. 

Additionally, we have seen some success with players who delete their cloud save for the specific game. LINK

If possible, we would be very appreciative if you could post a video of this error occurring as that will help with our investigation.

The above steps/workarounds may not work for everyone but may help while we look into this. 

Again, the first three steps from PlayStation at the link below may help too but Steps 4 and 5 are not advised at this time.

    • What is your PSN ID?
    • Is this happening for other games on your PS5?
    • What version of the game are you currently on?
    • Is your PS5 up to date?
    • Is it consistently crashing with this error, or intermittent?
    • When did the error start occurring? (was it after a patch, after a specific save etc)
    • How much space do you have available on your PS5?

    Only happening on Jedi Survivor
    Version of Jedi Survivor: 1.000.004
    My PS5 is up to date.
    It will always crash. It’s been this way since the game released.I have not made it past the difficulty setting screen. 
    I have roughly 850GB available on my PS5. I wiped everything but Jedi Survivor on my console.

    Only happening on Jedi Survivor, never happened before with any other game and I'm on 1.000.004 as of this post, my PS5 is up to date too. It crashes every time after the Jedi Survivor logo and before any menus show up, I haven't been able to do anything because of the crashes. and I have 335.7GB available on my PS5, although even with less storage I've never personally had any issues with other games to this degree.

    No. The only game that has this issue is Jedi Survivor.

    1.000.004

    Is your PS5 up to date?

    Yes. I have checked this numerous times throughout the weeks and the console is up to date.

    Is it consistently crashing with this error, or intermittent?

    Yes, it is consistently crashing with this error.

    When did the error start occurring? (was it after a patch, after a specific save etc)

    It started from the first time I opened the game. The Jedi Fallen Order summary started and got cut off in the beginning and since then the same error keeps happening, no matter what I do.

    How much space do you have available on your PS5?

    I have 255.9 GB of free space.

    Issue: Game crashes after 5-20 min of gameplay since I received the game.

    Game version: Latest 

    PS5 version: Latest 

    Similar past experience: Had a similar issue with Marvels Spiderman but that was resolved by placing the game in performance mode. Tried it with this one even turning of HDR and other settings still no fix and I don't see any difference in the amount of gameplay I get before crashing.

    PS5 Capacity: ~90GB

    • I was able to play the opening section of the game on Coruscant but once reaching Koboh the game crashes every 5-15 minutes and has do so since I purchased it at launch
    • 192.5 GB

    I'm pretty much done ,another patch that does fix ANYTHING. Tried it again today still crashes and freezes.

    Please ask the developers why they think releasing broken software is ok.

    UPDATE ON 19/05: I have updated the game to its latest version 1.000.005 and the issue still persists. Nothing has changed. I sent both @EA_Illium @EA_Barry a video with the error as requested on Wednesday.

    • When did the error start occurring? (was it after a patch, after a specific save etc) - since i got it on the 18th this month. Haven’t even seen the menus, didn’t play it at all because of this error.

    When did the error start occurring? (was it after a patch, after a specific save etc) - i was able to play like 30-40 hours, and deinstalled the game for non-game related reasons on may 18th 2023, after reinstalling it on 19th may 2023, I am not able to play anymore since I always get this error

    How much space do you have available on your PS5? - about 15-20 GB

    @Luc1709 Edit to my previous post

    I overcame the error somehow!

    First I deinstalled the game and reinstalled, didn’t fix it
    I than deleted the cache in the safe mode and tried to play again, crash still there
    I than rebuild the dateibasierter in safe mode and tried playing. It didn’t work

    I deinstalled it another time and after installing it again, I tried again, same error message (either here or before this attempt I switched the performance mode on in the settings)
    And started watching a movie on Netflix
    I then thought of adding a video to my prior post and was setting everything up, bringing the camera in position and hitting play…I didn’t believe my eyes when I was suddenly standing on jedha.

    More than strange situation. I hope it’s still working when opening it the next time.

    Hey, can you be more specific? Is your ps5 settings on resolution or performance mode or are you talking about jedi survivor settings?

    @gabigabi2012 In changed it in the survivor settings. I am still suprised, but I haven’t had any major issues since then.

    I also changed a few settings in the ps5 settings, but non game related stuff, like the time till Rest mode or that it doesn’t shut down into rest mode when turning the TV off

    Ohh so that’s the thing. You changed it in the game settings. I can’t even get to the menu because of the crashes.

    @gabigabi2012 Yeah, for me the error Message CE-108255-1 was Always occurring, when I tried to load into the Game from the savegame, main menu or doing ps5 resume activity feature

    Any new information on this?  My game worked flawlessly on PS5 until patch 5 came out and now the game doesnt work at all.

    ive tried all the troubleshooting recommendations

    Pretty frustrating and surprised with a google search there arent more people crushing EA because of this.
