I got past it! This is what I did, hopefully it works fo you. Start by lowering the difficulty level to the lowest/easiest setting, then walk toward the round console thing in the middle of the room facing the gun turrets and stand there. Block the blaster bolts for as long as possible and use stims as needed. You might die, and it might take a couple of respawns but eventually a cut sceen will happen that will give you the force ability needed to take out the turrets.
