Undocumented one way dead ends

Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug Some areas need Force Dash ability to be crossed. But in fact, you may able to cross it without Force Dash, in one way. But not in the other way. So, you need to reload your last savegame. The should be marked as "read areas" on the holomap, until your unlock the Force dash ability.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? At the begining of the game, in Coruscant, there are two of these areas.
What happens when the bug occurs? You cannot take the opposite path.
What do you expect to see? A red area should appear on the holomap to indicate that you do not yet have the abilities to go there.

No additional information.

  • @Drexler_LZ  Please post screenshots of the areas you mean: one showing Cal's location on the map and another showing what you're looking at for each location.

    Hey PuzzleAddict,

I uninstalled the game since i can't play it until it is patched (i encounter a game freeze at pillar climbing scene on Jedha, with Skriton attacking).

But i can describe the two areas at the beginning of the game at Coruscant:

The first area is behind a locked door that BD can lockpick, which leads to a corridor leading itself to a platform. To access it, there is a giant pipe door obstructing the view, that you have to close with the Force push ability. Then, you can jump to the first platform and collect a memory. But, you can't go back : you lack force dash.

This seems illogical because if you can jump on way, you can jump the other way too. But i guess the geometry of hook objects does not allow it.

And the other area is a one where you overlook a footbridge, part of which has disappeared.
You can jump to reach the piece of footbridge at the bottom, but it is impossible to jump back up without force dash.

@Drexler_LZ  I remember the first location well, and I had no trouble getting Cal back to the main area without the Force Dash ability.  Perhaps something changed in a later patch, but I haven't seen other reports of this.  I can check it out though.

For the other, I'm not totally sure what location you're talking about.  If you do reinstall the game, or happen to see a video about it, please let me know.  That could definitely be helpful for anyone from EA looking for navigation-based bugs and glitches.
