Topic. It's released on Steam, but not on the EA App? Why wouldn't you do both at the same time if possible?
Edit: It wouldn't show up for me even restarting the app multiple times. I had to repair the game for it finally say "Update Available". Then it would just say "Finalizing" after clicking the update button, but a final restart app of the app made that go away. Such a process. Ugh.
Shows available but downlaod stalls every few 100mb and wont progress, super annoying.
If they force that garbage EA app on us, this should at least work properly.
Can you please confirm with me regarding the update process. First my game did a 116GB file check. I think it was unpacking. Then it did a 1.38GB actual update. Now it’s taking a while and doesn’t tell me what it’s doing but it just has a percentage number going to 100 and I can hear my hard drive writing. Is this similar to what you experienced? I know EA has so many problems so I am hoping this update is going according to plan.

My Steam started downloading a while ago, It showed as 3.3GB. I had to reboot and now It's downloading 87.6GB....
Jup, file check for the whole game, then DL starts.
For me dl stops randomly and wont progress, dl speed just drops to zero - pause/start/resume has little to none effect.
