Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try connecting a Xbox Series SX controller to a Windows 10 PC with its USB cable and seeing if it disconnects randomly.
What happens when the bug occurs? The controller will disconnect as if it is not plugged in and I am not able to use any controls until it reconnects, which can take between five and ten seconds.
What do you expect to see? A controller that does not randomly turn off.
I have noticed when playing this game and I have my Xbox Series SX controller for Windows plugged in with the USB cable, to charge the battery, that it will randomly stop functioning, the power light will turn off and then back on and the controls will not work for a good five seconds. This does not happen when connected wirelessly, plus this is a new controller, had it a little over a month now. This is the only game this issue happens on, I have played through a full game of both The Callisto Protocol and Dead Space with this controller and had no issues when it was plugged in.
