I've switched browsers, made new emails, changed emails on the account too and waited for an hour before clicking the email as well. Its getting really annoying any help would be great.
I am also having a similar issue, after clicking on the email to validate my address, entering address and password, i get the following error:
Unable to verify activation code, click here to request a new one
i am now currently locked out of playing the game as it wont accept that my email has been vaildated
If you have tried a different email on the account then best to call them , should be sorted quickly all going well

Using skype with that contact is a free call to the best of my knowledge, that number is only available as per the hours listed (Support available from 9.00 CT - 21.00 CT) so need to confirm time zone etc
I had same issue just ended up using different devise
