Can't access my original Star Wars The Old Republic account

Hello!

The last week I've been trying to get access to my original SWTOR account, but there does not look like I'll figure it out any time soon.

And even stranger is that this (the account I'm posting with here) is my Origin/EA Games account that I use, and have been using to play SWTOR in the past. But I changed the email associated with the account a while back, and I'm not sure if the SWTOR account changed as well. But I'm fairly sure that the SWTOR account still uses my old (still active email), but I'm having trouble getting recovery email to that one. So I believe the whole system is confused somehow. Sometimes options work, but sometimes they don't. But I'm still not getting access, and I think I made it worse by creating a second account with my new email to see if that would "trigger" something. So now there's 1.5 accounts associated with the same email, or something like that. Every thing is such a mess, and my account is still lost. So the last few days my goal has been to maybe get in touch with the support staff, which also have proven impossible, since I'm not a subscriber and can submit a ticket in-game.

The case is also that my authenticator, which is "attached" to my old/original account no longer works. Or, more correctly have disabled itself/been removed or something like that, from my phone.

And I have no way of activating it again, so it's basically just a useless app on my phone at this point.

This creates a huge issue for me, since I need the authenticator to access my account.

I've looked all over the internet, and all the "guides" says the same; "Log in through www.swtor.com, enter username and password, but leave the security key blank. The click "Lost your security key?", and then follow the instructions and have it removed". Sounds easy and all. But the thing is, the "Lost your security key" option don't exist through the browser. There is a option through the launcher, but clicking that does not do anything besides redirecting me to the EA/help website, which does not do anything for me unless I'm a subscriber. Which brings me right back to the start.

So.. all in all, I can't access my account, and I can't remove my authenticator, and I can't get it back either. So as of now, my account is lost.

And this makes me kind of sad, since I bought the game when it first came out, and the account is fairly old. And all my characters are on there.

And yes, it has been a while since I last played (not that long though, and I believe I last played less than 12 months ago). But SWTOR for me is a game I keep coming back to now and then, so I would like to get my account back.

Does anyone have any tips on how to proceed from there? The only option on the EA/help website that I can make use of, is asking on here with a different account.

Or maybe someone from support can lend me a hand?

I have no idea how to get my account back, and there's no way of contacting anyone, besides using the forums.

Thanks in advance!

- Z

    Appreciate the help, but it does not help me am I afraid.

    I'm outside the EU countries listed, so I have to call a number outside my country.
    Which is expensive for one, and have not worked out for me this far since I haven't gotten through to a actual person.
    I guess it's because the hours are "off" (time zones etc), I'm not sure.

    I've used the area code and everything, but no luck.

    I'll keep trying to figure out how to solve this, and I might even give the call center another try.
    But it's just so expensive to call "foreign" phone numbers where I live.

    Really appreciate the help though!

    @Zawson

    In Australia we get free calls with most plans these days to the UK

    However if phone plans arent great for your area, try using skype to call them , if i used skype to call the uk from Australia it would only cost me around $2 for an hour phone call

    @Zawson

    just had a look at skype again myself, if it is the same  for me , if you look at their additional subscriptions , i get offered to try them free for a month, so i can select an AUD $4.40 for unlimited landlines and try it free for a month, not that i would continue it past the month to get charged , effectively making it free. 🥳
