can't buy cartel coins

I can't buy anything because my name has an umlaut in it and the the website doesn't recognize it. my credit card company automatically declines it I guess because it gives me an error telling me to ...

    Make sure you apply the codes at this link

    If it was me and have never ever subscribed I would purchase the swtor standard edition off origin (can only be purchased once)

    What this does apart from making you preferred after the 30 days is up , is it gives you all the expansion packs up to kotet and able to level all characters to 70.

Does it do that when you type Özden , have you tried doing this in notepad and copy and pasting Özden into the field. 

 

Edit - failing that try as kat mentions use OEZDEN

Yes, when I type in Özden and try to pay, the page reloads and retuns me to that screen with some gibberish on the field. I don't see how copying from notepad would help, but I tried it and it doesn't work. OE also doesn't work, it may be accepted in German but not so in Turkish. I also tried writing Ö by creating the ¨ and O seperately since I can do that, as in, I don't have an umlaut E on my keyboard but I can do Ë this. Doesn't work. Surprisingly enough, it recognizes "Ğ"  a letter that only exists in the Turkish aphabet as far as I'm aware, but nothing with an umlaut passes. No Ö, Ü, Ë, Ä, Ï, or anything. And I doubt anything here can help me short of someone changing the code to the website but I can't get official support from EA because I'm not subscribed to SWTOR, and I CAN'T subscribe because I can't PAY. Absolutely ridiculous.

    @EA_Kat is official support for swtor so i am not sure why you think you cant get support.

    Will flag this thread for followup however they are not here over the weekends.

        The lowest cartel coin amount you can buy there is 2400 and that's just way more than what I wanted. I just need the preferred status so I can play the story without some of the more draconian restrictions the game imposes on f2p customers which was my main gripe with the business model to begin with, which is why it took me so long to play this game despite having followed the game since it was announced. Every time I tried playing this game since it's release, something happened that made me absolutely hate this game and uninstall, and at this point I think I've installed and uninstalled this game about 5 times (including beta). And I'm just looking at this thread and thinking, "why am I even trying?"

        I'll probably contact my credit card company see if I can do anything about this, if not I'll probably play through the vanilla stories as a f2p player and stop thinking about this game forever.
