The adjust shadow crash is separate to the sound crash , if it is an issue ongoing apart from the once you adjust , see if here helps
Is is necessary to install the game again?

I just checked today. If I have three inbound exclusions simply called "Star Wars The Old Republic," do those count? I also don't have Outbound Exclusions for them.
- proxos66610 years agoHero+
The exclusions should be for both inbound and outbound for both launcher.exe and swtor.exe
- Mistermovieman10 years agoRising Adventurer
So I should add those too?
- proxos66610 years agoHero+
Yes , this wont affect the shadow issue though
off hand this maybe a windows permission issue or a driver problem

Are you saying the Guide won't help? I guess I'll make a new thread then.

Unticking? Where? Which version of Direct X should I install.
Moreover, my game has still just crashed in the middle of nowhere. I thought the audio driver fixed it.

Disable sound and confirm the crashing stops (apart from when changing shadows)

I'm sorry I haven't had time to post in a while, but I just tried to quest on my Jedi Knight with the sound off, and the game still crashed. I am getting irritated.

Are you still there, Proxos?
- proxos66610 years agoHero+
yessum, will have a look over everything again over the weekend and see if anything has been missed
- Mistermovieman10 years agoRising Adventurer
Learned something?
- Mistermovieman10 years agoRising Adventurer
No. Is that one the latest version?
- proxos66610 years agoHero+
That version is the one for this game , it will add some files that are likely missing on your version in regards to D3D9Ex
it is worthwhile to install
- Mistermovieman10 years agoRising Adventurer
Thanks. I'll try it!

I just installed it. "sfc /scannow" doesn't work. I type it in, click on it, then a window pops up for a split second, but nothing happens.

I just tried to play the game again. It was working for a while, but there was a lot of buzzing in conversations. I tried lowering my graphics, but then the game crashed. Still nothing.

Still don't know what to do. This is a real shame. I like this game.

When you press windows key + x when you select on the menu , command prompt (admin) a black screen should appear , this is what you need to type in the black window
sfc /scannow
then press enter
once finished type in the command prompt again
chkdsk c: /f
press enter
see if any of these finds errors and cant repair them
Also use this and save the file and send it to me in a PM not on this thread , it will give me a better view of the system

Do I need to buy Speccy?
