Forum Discussion
It has been a while since I have seen issues with renaming , there was a bug that did occur in that the rename wouldn't take and it kept flagging for rename no matter how many times the character was renamed, maybe it has resurfaced again.
Is this what is occurring ?
Not sure, but the forum post I linked to is dated this month (November 2015).
The fact I can't use the names on the server, but can still use them on another server (still haven't had it flagged for rename). Leads me to believe it was caused by the transfer.
..fact that it happened on my only two Jedi makes me worry though. I do remember them saying you should use names that you'd find in the Star Wars universe. But I figured names like "Malassin" weren't standard names like "Eric" or "John" ( Jedi Sage Malassin Kade [got a nice ring to it] ), and so would qualify as "Star Wars-y" names. -- I hope this is still the case.

EDIT:
LOL, and now the name is marked as "Unavailable" funny, it use to be "Invalid".
((Annoying, but I'll just 'bag-grab' another name I use....But there can, still, be only one! ;D ))
- Anonymous10 years agoI think what might have happened is someone flagged your name by sending a ticket about it and then renamed or created a character with that name once you were forced to rename. I know this is a thing that happens, dont be surprised if you see a character wiht your name running around fleet.
