I think this is either a hardware issue as technically the video card doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the game as it only has 112mb of dedicated memory when the game wants 256mb.
or this could be a driver issue.
When the black eyes occur, is there any change if you press CTRL U wait a second then press CTRL U again (turns UI off and back on)
Just to confirm there was no change with setting compat to XP SP 3 ?
Note: PCs using a built-in graphical chipset are recommended to have 2GB of RAM. Star Wars: The Old Republic requires a video card that has a minimum of 256MB of on-board RAM as well as support for Shader 3.0 or better.
Your card has 112mb dedicated memory , whilst the game may play with the shared ram it may not be trouble free, changing compat to XP SP3 alters how VRAM is treated so usually its a good workaround. (usually the textures will drop between high and low continually and XP SP3 compat should fix this)
Display Memory: 6222 MB
Dedicated Memory: 112 MB
Shared Memory: 6110 MB
Personally I would lower the shared video memory to a max of 4GB in the BIOS to free up a bit more dedicated Ram for the system.
Intel is not a GFx card, it's a CPU-based GFx emulator.
That being said, the solution is to try more compatible drivers. Try older versions and keep one where the problem does not occur.
A big problem for many is that various issued are present in various games and people end up with switching around a few driver versions when wanting to play different games.
One more thing that you could try is to delete the game cache also (/swtor/diskcachearena), that should clear-up any problems that may occur from texture caching.
You probably didn't see my old thread, but the reason I got a new Driver was because Swtor and other games were having issues. Rolling back will certainly not help.
I'm not sure what you mean about Intel not being a graphics card, and also, could you please explain what you mean by "texture caching."
Generally hit print screen button on your computer. Next go to your My Documents or just Documents, look or the Swtor folder and your screenshot will be there.
Open it in paint, crop out everything but the face, neck and a little bit of the background.
You can then save the file and upload it here as an attachment. If you use like imgur or photo bucket to upload the image you can link it in your response.
There is the insert image in the post itself (see image), to make a snapshot , Win 10 has snipping tool, press windows key and type snipping and can use the snipping tool.
i haven't been able to respond, real life and all, but when I went into the game, started a conversation, and hit print screen nothing happened. I must have been doing something wrong, but I don't know what.
It's not going to scream out at you that anything happened. Go to your start menu, and open up File Explorer. Open up Documents in File Explorer, look for a folder that says Star Wars the Old Republic. Open that. Open the screenshots folder in that folder. Look for the image you just took. If they are hard to see, click on View in the taskbar (will say File, Home, Share, View, Manage, above the portion where the folders show up. Set to Extra large tiles.Your image should be there.
Also, if you open up Paint right after taking a screenshot, you should be able to click in the white area, and hit ctrl+v and it will paste your screenshot into Paint for you, so you can then edit it.
I wouldnt be worrying about a screenshot , things like black eyes and the previous history in this thread points to gfx corruption and in this case likely driver related
sometimes lowering the texture gfx can help with this, lower all ingame settings to low and turn off bloom etc and see if it still occurs , from there can start adjusting one setting up at a time.
