Re: Can someone please fully explain group dialogue?

Heya @Trexosaurustron

not sure I understand completely, but it sounds like you forgot to put on the same instance option within your settings. This allows you to observer what another character of the same class for instance is seeing in their conversation. You can find the setting in Social and then the first area there called "Allow Access to Same Class/Personal Phases".

I believe you then see everything they do and choose in a conversation, but can not interfere with it.

You should see also what they are talking about outside phases when you are close enough, but I be honest, it's been a while since I did that so I can't say for sure.

  • Hi @EA_Kat,

I do have the "Allow Access to Same Class/ Personal Phases" setting on and as I said in my previous post I am able to access my group's phases and view their conversations (i.e. go into the areas where the barrier turns from red to purple).

What I am referring to is that player's story conversations that happen outside of phases e.g. early in the Jedi Knight's story there is a moment where he is summoned by the council including Shan etc. I had to literally sit and wait whilst my friend watched that dialogue and I couldn't interact. In that sense it's like missing 50% of the story (we are playing these new characters together)

I hope this makes sense and it would be great if you had a solution.

    Thanks!

I think there are a few Dialogues in the Class Quest where you can't watch your Group Members Sequences.

out of the Blue, on Ships, Companions and not Instanced areas.
