Re: Crashing game after logging in

 @proxos666

Thank you for your response! At first I tried to do a clean boot to see if any other programs were interfering with swtor but it still crashed.

However it turned out it had to do with my video drivers. For some reason it was unable to automatically update, which it used to do before, so I had to manually download the newest driver to fix the problem. I didn't think of this because it worked fine last week and in my knowledge there wasn't any major update since then, but apparently I was wrong.

The post you referred to made me reconsider checking out my drivers and Direct X files and noticed my NVidia couldn't automatically connect any more. At first I tried fixing the settings for Nvidia Update Daemon but that was of no avail, so I manually downloaded the latest driver for my video card and the installer then updated my files.

After all that was done I tried running swtor again and to my happy surprise it no longer crashed! I can't fully express how happy I am it's fixed but I would like to sincerely thank you for your guidance and help. Without your post I would've never figured it out this relatively fast, so once again thank you for your help and effort :eahigh_file:

May the force be with you... always

    I have tried all these solutions. Changing settings in appdata, downloading drivers, canceling background programs, but i cannot get it to go past the first screen of satele shan and others then it closes after a few seconds. It worked for 20 minutes earlier then ctd and now nothing. Im almost ready to give up. Please help
