even the best hardware cant solve the worst, and bad programming * from SWTOR ....

try it out and see if it works for u, and ´dont forget , after u edit yours, to change the atribute to "write protected"
i'll give it a go, but from what i can see with those settings, you have basically turned everything off making the game look like *, i hate not using v sync, because i always end up with screen tearing, 2 things take a way from playing most games for me, horrible frame rates and the game looking like total garbage...
edit: yeah i used your settings, thanks but no thanks, game looks hideous now, i don't know how you can play like that, i'll take my garbage frame rate over the lowest of low settings any day, i mean srsly, i'm trying to fix my fps loss, not the make the game look like complete rubbish, thanks for trying, but i just can't handle the game looking like that, even if i get 100 frames, Bioware needs to stop sucking EAs sack and fix this rubbish.

the bloom, sghadow, and DOF settings looks like crapp ... as soon as i have them turned on, white is going to grey, blue is going to metallic blue, and so on
the colors are crapp with those settings.
without this *. white is white, red is red... colors are clear how they have to be, and should be :P
the colors are spose to be like that, still off topic, need to get back on target and see if anyone else has any bright ideas on fixing frame rate.

i'll give it a go, pretty sure i done it already but at this point i'm gonna try anything possible.
attached a screenshot of my frame rate when i am on the fleet, total rubbish, 30 fps, and the game isn't even using all my GPU, lucky to see it bump to 50% usage, and the temps are totally fine >.<
been using MSI afterburner to keep an eye on my GPU and CPU and when playing SWTOR both CPU and GPU barely even crack 50% in usage, no over heating either, the game doesn't even over tax the card, or even fully use it at all, really odd.
If you're still playing, are you having this issue still? I came back a couple weeks ago also with a fresh install on a "newer" computer (2 years old). When there wasn't anybody around me doing anything the game ran fine, but certain actions caused the video to lag so hard it appeared the game was locking up.
I found out that the problem was with the healing ability "Diagnostic Scan" which caused my video to lock up during the entire time it was being channeled. I disabled it on all my companions and respec'd and took it off my operative's toolbar. I think there's a bounty hunter ability that causes this too, but since companions only have diagnostic scan it isn't a huge issue.
I have been unable to really fix it and the customer service email told me to search the database even though I indicated I already had in my ticket. I will look into some of the suggested fixes in this thread though. Thanks for the information and good luck 🙂
