    @tulipbc

    If you go into add/remove programs , you should what Microsoft visual C++ is installed , now if you click on the listing there should be a modify button , use that and select repair and see if this helps initially

    If that doesnt help do a search of your drive and see if any listing appears for MSVCP80.dll

    tell me where it is located

    I think that file belongs to 2005 C++ here  , the game uses 2008 or 2010 by memory so not sure why the error for that file at present

    Thank, I'll try that. I did reinstall the game and I'm still getting the message. Let's hope this will work!

    Yes, I actually redownloaded that c ++ 2005 that the file belongs to. I did a search for the file on my disk, and got 7 results. 3 of those are in other game folders, and the other 4 are in c:/windows/winsxs/x86_microsft.vc80.crt_ ect ect ect...

    If you want to try something , copy one of those into the following folder location

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64

    let me know if helps or not
