Been having the same issue for a few days now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice, repaired multiple times, and changed where the game is stored... As soon as I click "play" the launcher closes out and nothing happens

this is where I downloaded the launch repair utility from.
I set the compatibility to run as admin and disable desktop composition
Then I ran and directed it to my swtor folder, hit play and voila I was able to get in game.
I know it's a temp work-a-round but if it works then it'll do until EA build a fix.
Seems every time they load up a new patch they screw the launchpad up somehow
