Re: Where is "client_settings.ini"?

@Aquariadael

AppData is an System and so hidden Folder.

You have to set the hidden Folders to visible, remember to change that later on back.

    I'm not so clever. I never thought about this solution with folder visibility. But problem still exists even after enabling this option. Error is the same when I copy that text which should lead me to settings, so I was looking manually in AppData and I found this only SWTOR folder called "SWTORPerf" and in this folder there is only  "system_performance.ini"... When I open it with notepad there is only 1 line with text "PerformanceTimingData=*a lot of numbers and letters*" ... I don't know if that's what I'm looking for. Or maybe it is? I don't know and I feel stupid about it... :P

    I was trying to use search for file "client_settings" but computer does not found any file with this name.

    Interesting the swtor folder should be in a similar location to the swtorperf folder , only exception i have seen is with XP where it was found in the documents folder ....

    Normally I would say that folder is created on the first launch of the game, maybe it is something to do with the game not fully downloaded yet

    If your playing on starter planets what is the current issue ?

    See my appdata file structure below

    I can start the game, but I'm afraid that problem from this topic will return after launching the game. http://answers.ea.com/t5/STAR-WARS-The-Old-Republic/Monitor-Problem/m-p/5650679#U5650679

    I wanted to do, what you said and change refresh rate and resolution. I remember that someone said that his SWTOR was setting refresh rate 120... And my current monitor can handle 60-90 maximum,  but it seems that I can't find "client_settings.ini" and change it. I'm believing what you said, that I need to start game/download full game. Well, after my download is finished I will post here, and later if nothing will help - I will maybe try to launch the game, but I don't know. I think I should just buy normal monitor, not this trash which I'm using currently, and then everything will work with no problem, but I have cash problems right now.

    I have Windows 7 and I still have in documents SWTOR folder, but it contains only folder "Screenshots"... Im confused. ☹️
