I've noticed this happening often lately. Playing SWTOR with no issues, then suddenly everything freezed. Server Lag goes into the red, and will hit over 400,000ms. This can last for several minutes and plague gameplay for quite some time bouncing back and forth.I've checked my connection at the house - speedtest.org showed a 15ms ping, over 60Mbps download and about 5Mbps upload. So clearly this isn't an issue on my end. Others on my server are complaining of the same thing (when it catches up with their messages).How about we work on fixing these issues?

@proxos666 First to answer your question, yes, it was happening everytime I was logged in. It was happening on multiple servers, different planets. So I tried everything that I could think of. Then I looked into the old forums for SWTOR and found a check list of things to do. Went through them one by one, problems were still happening. Now either it's a coincidence or after I did one step, it seems that the problem is no more. At least for now. I went ahead and tried some things that were mentioned. I deleted the bitraider folder, did the scan/repair. Deleted the file you told me to do. So here's what I did that either fixed it, or coincidentally was done when the problem fixed itself. I did a Winsock reset in the command prompt. Restarted my computer and everything seems to be running normal again. Not sure what happened or what fixed it. But after a few days of this problem happening every other ten minutes, I'm glad I've finally been able to play with no interruption.Thank you @proxos666 and @DBWoodynz for all of the help. Hopefully you won't have to hear back from me. ^_^

Could I suggest (if you use a laptop) to try playing at the public library as they generally have free internet; also contact your friends and see what there experiences are if they are in the same area but on a different ISP they may have zero issues or be experiencing the same things... therefore you know when you run your tests.. "what do you all share in common"? and it 9/10 won't be swtor.

My connection goes through level3 as well and is horrendous, but only in the evenings .. during the day I can play without any problems ...

Pathping stops because the first couple of hops in my tracert time out ... So it actually shows me that I have 0 packet loss to my router 🙂
I sent a bunch of pings to see if I had any packet loss and the result says enough:

At the same time, I have no issues with the TeamSpeak server our guild uses (I have a steady 23 ms latency to that server, no audio issues)

EDIT: after finding this all, I connected to an OpenVPN server and I now have no issues whatsoever (the OpenVPN server connects to that same IP through telia instead of level3)

Mine is the same. During the day it is fine. In the evenings it is terrible. Only for SWTOR.

Same problems for me, I have traced the problem to be a company called level3, that is some sort of a telecommunication company through which the swtor data/connection goes through. They are giving me thousands of server lag everywhere, Strongholds, every planet, every location, every character, on The Progenitor EU server. It's making my game totally unplayable, DC'ing all the time, yet every single other internet using program/game works perfectly on the side. It has -nothing- to do with my computer/connection. I have contacted BW customer service for this, yet they always answer with the same automatic reply of ''Try to use our troubleshooting'', which I've tried, every single suggestion, nothing helped, its SO frustrating, since I JUST resubbed, I'm paying for their game that I'm not even able to play anymore. I contacted level3 through their facebook page, and they answered, asked me to contact my own ISP (Internet Service Provider), I did, and they said they arent able to help. How is this fair for a paying customer of Bioware/EA?
tried WTFast.com, didnt help. My problem comes even when the server population is low. Getting freaking frustrated and helpless.
