Subscription purchase error

Hello.

I tried to subscribe today and i am constantly getting this message: ''Sorry, we're experiencing delays in processing your order. Please wait a few minutes to check your account before attempting to make another purchase. If you still experience problems, please try a different payment method, or visit us at http://help.ea.com''

I tried subscribing last week, and got the same message, over and over again.

I have also used my debit card to buy games on Steam so the problem can't be on my end. I have used the same card to subscribe in the past and to buy games on Origin, with no problems.

Tried different browsers, turned off antivirus, tried even another computer(which is using the same rooter), no change. Over and over again, the same error. Tried also using paypal, nothing happened. I also tried buying the 60 day prepaid option and Cartel Coins, still the same error.

It stays on ''Waiting for swtor.checkout.swtor.com'' for a good 5-10 seconds, and then it gives me the dreaded error message from above.

Calling support on the phone is out of the question, and the EA chat support just directed me here.

Not sure it matters but the last time i purchased subscription was before the merge, during the summer.

I had an issue just like yours and after spending all day going back and forth with EA Origin and the swtor support team. We finally found out the problem and it was that my swtor email was the same as my EA Origin account and their supposed to be different email accounts for each one. As soon as I changed my swtor email to a different one and confirmed the confirmation link in the new email I put in. I was able to buy the united forces 30-day premium pack without any more errors and failed purchases.

Tried purchasing the 60 day non recurring ?

Debit cards and pre-paid credit cards run into issues with the recurring flag on the subscription.

Could try attaching these cards to a paypal account and see if it goes through

Yes, as i said in the original post, i tried the 60 day non recurring, also tried to buy Cartel Coins, got the same error.
Also i tried using paypal, nothing happened. It just returned me to my account page.
1 week ago i tried all those things and got the same error message.
Edit: Using both Visa and Mastercard for my country.
A few months ago i used the same card to purchase Dragon Age DLCs, and last summer used the same cards to subscribe. Also today i used the same cards to buy something from Steam, just to see if it will work and it worked. But it is not working when i want to purchase subscription or cartel coins from the SWTOR website. Also it doesn't seem to be working anymore when i try to purchase something from Origin.

I can flag this with CS here when they are back on Monday to have a quick look

However they cannot handle billing issues over a forum, and if it is something that needs to be sorted at their end it can only be done over the phone.

In some cases the response is do not try to purchase anything on swtor.com for a full 24 hours and then see if it persists.

Some of their system security measures are automated and lift after 24hours with no further activity.

I’m having the same problem. Was able to reactivate my son’s swtor account this morning with out problems, but when trying to reactivate mine, I’ve tried 2 different credit cards and PayPal. All keep giving me the error mentioned above. Just trying to play the game with my son and can’t get subscription to go through.

Popping in to say that I'm getting the same error, but it's when I try to buy Cartel Coins. Card works normally for other systems, but trying to get anything through the SWOTOR site just gives me that error.

I even called my bank and they said nothing is wrong there.
I'm giving up, i will just play as a prefered/f2p, for a while. This monday i will go to the bank and get new a debit card(for gaming costs i use 1 in particular), in order to subscribe.

If you haven't purchased the kotet pack off of origin at all, this can be purchased once every 6 months , that may get you out of trouble at least for 60 days.

@Kaeduz and @AbC4597a4133448, this should apply to both of you:

If you've been trying very frequently and you've already contacted your payment provider (bank/card issuer/etc.) to confirm there's no issue with allowing the transaction, I'd recommend wait until at least 24h from your last transaction attempt, and then try again. If you still get the error, you'll need to give us a call so that our Account & Billing team can take a closer look.

@Ducetius I wasn't able to find your SWTOR account. What Display Name are you using?

@Sergeant_Braken At what point do you get the error message? And can you confirm the Display Name you're using?

@EA_Kipling my account name is Nebrodi. Was created years ago and hasn’t been active in a while. Son wants me to play with him again so trying to reactivate it.
