Sooo I might be able to help, try this, goto
%localappdata%/swtor/swtor and change clientsettings.ini file
from
D3DFullScreen =true
to
D3DFullScreen =false
then restart the game... make sure steam is completely closed out, and not running in the background before you do this else it wont work!
This did it, thank you so much! I didn't have a D3D entry at all, so I just added it at the end of the list.
