Hello,
when playing, the game I am experiencing a crippling lags and stutters - when opening inventory, map, quest log, using abilities in combat.
During multi-player activities I have at most 10FPS.
All this on a computer that can run Read Dead Redemption 2 on High/Ultra details on 40 FPS.
The lagging and stuttering does not change with any kind of settings change - NVIDIA app itself is recommending ULTRA details for SWTOR.
My specs:
I7 - 3.9 GHZ
RTX 3060 Ti
8GB RAM
engine will produce a pause when opening and closing certain windows, but this is like a momentary pause
Check windows power options are set to high performance when playing, and maybe disable vsync if set on, note to turn off vsync this can only be done in fullscreen mode , for nvidia if using vsync in the game profile in the nvidia control panel, set vsync to fast not just "on" see image
Also see if its more playable in fullscreen window mode
I have tried both of your suggestions with no positive change unfortunately.
Tried downloading the older version of DX9.
Tried disabling the enhanced shadows (which I have read, do not work properly).
I have not been able to find any noticable solution.
I have been thinking, is it maybe because I am playing the Steam version? Are there performance issues with that?
