"SWTOR Launcher has stopped working"

The game was working fine yesterday, but today, the launcher wouldn't open at all. When I click the launcher, all I get is this:

and no matter what choice I pick, I get this:

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the same thing happens when I try to run the launcher after doing that. Here's the event viewer info:

I did install some Windows updates before I tried to launch the game. Would that have anything to do with SWTOR not working? (I'm running Windows 7.)

Let me know how it goes, good to hear it is starting now.

May also be worthwhile adding brwc_swtor.exe and swtor.exe as exceptions as well.

Swtor.exe is found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient

Initially try the repair utility at this link and check antivirus exceptions etc for launcher.exe

The launcher repair didn't work (I had tried it before uninstalling as well), but it seems like making it an exception worked. I'm reinstalling the game now, and will check if there are any additional problems when it's done. Thank you!

Looks like everything is working now. Launched the game, then shut it off, and relaunched it just to make sure. Thanks for the help! Much appreciated.
