SWTOR maintenance error
My SWTOR Username is kimmyg. When I try to purchase cartel coins or subscribe, the SWTOR webpage gives me a maintenance error talking about high traffic. Any help would be appreciated. I tried...
You can play the game fine , however i am 99.9% certain if you bought a subscription now it will fail to apply to the account and you would need to send proof of purchase per the very top sticky (its why its there) https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message
@proxos666I'm pretty sure I updated my email, yeah... looks like back in 2015 from an older one I probably created my SWTOR account with:

We have received your request to update your email address for the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ website. To complete this request, simply click here to verify your email address.
Remember, if you have a linked EA account, it will be changed with the new email address.
But I've never had any issues buying CC or subscribing until now...
If the linked EA account is flagged for a password reset , it suspends purchasing on all linked accounts like swtor
it is likely then that the email did not update on the EA account when you changed it on swtor , can you try sticking the original email into the link for password reset in my previous post ?
@proxos666I'll give it a go and update my comment here in a few mins.
EDIT: So, yikes. It seems I used an even older email to set up the account originally. My first 'old' email also has an email update request on it from 2011.
I don't think I have access to that one anymore. I'm actually trying to get access to it with Microsoft at the moment.
The swtor lines will be up in a few hours if your in a position to call ? they can confirm what the issue is , and potentially assist updating the email on that EA account.
Support here isnt available until tomorrow at the earliest
just the UK , France and German lines for swtor ( even though they are based in galway in ireland ... ironic i know )
they will be closed Monday for the Halloween bank holiday too , so calling today would be best
Edit : Let me know how you get on, i will keep your username flagged here until after you talked to them on the phone
@proxos666Oh I thought it was 2pm, UTC...?
So it turns out GMT and UTC aren't actually the same... DST maybe?
Anyway, it's 12:32 UTC according to Google, so it's still a bit away.
12:32 UTC , lines come up at 2pm UTC so in 90 minutes is correct
people usually forget BST is being used when looking at GMT/UTC times
edit - quick google
The time on the island of Ireland is the same as Greenwich Mean Time less than half of the year. During the summer it becomes GMT+1, that's Irish Standard Time (IST) in the Republic and British Summer Time (BST) in Northern Ireland.
