Hello, could you also help me with the same problem?
I have the same problem when trying to make a purchase. The first message I get when choosing a subscription plan is: We do not have a valid billing method on file. Click below to add a payment method and activate your subscription. After that, when I click subscribe, I get another Error message:
"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance."
I have an EA account that uses the same email as my SWTOR, so they should be linked. However, my SWTOR account was created all the way back in 2015 so that might cause some issues, maybe, what do I know.
Because I was getting this error message yesterday, I decided to download it using steam and try the subscription there, I ended up paying for the 30-day trial but never got anything. So I followed another of your advice via: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/m-p/9356718#M61159. We will see if they even respond.
Never thought getting a subscription would be so complicated and annoying.
Is there a way you could help me with either one or even both issues (Website subscription error & the Steam issue )

you will need to call swtor support when the lines are open to fix an account issue
support have your steam email but cant add the gametime until the account issue is sorted

Is there another way I could get in touch, an email address or live chat? Calling support will be costly and I really don't want to pay to call someone only to discuss that I paid for something and didn't get it. A little ironic- proxos6663 years agoHero+
calling is the only option for the account issue you have
maybe voip or skype will be better to call with
