Would you happen to be running Windows 10 and recently updated? I checked my Windows 10 log and there was an update yesterday. I didn't have this problem at all prior to today.
I opened a ticket and sent them my DxDiag.txt. If they respond I will make sure to update what they say on my post.
I tried to run in a different compatibility mode; still didn't work.
Was there any other update today ? big coincidence you are both running an R9 200 series card and have the same issue ?

Hello! Ive also just started having this error code pop-up today after playing this game for about a month with no problems. I tried running in different compatibility modes but to no avail. Ive attached my dxdiag just in case if there is anything in there that I am missing
I Just ran a clean install (uninstalled and reinstalled) of the R9 200 series card drivers and that seems to have cleared it up for me.
