You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has the persona ferzhust (not Aezwyn that your posting on now) that EA account uses the same email as on your swtor account
use the following link to reset the password https://signin.ea.com/p/web2/resetPassword (insert the swtor email in the link) then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared

Hello, I have the same issue. I changed the password and tried to make a purchase in Chrome incognito mode and normal mode, but I still get the same error message. What further can be done?

- 4 years ago@proxos666 Im logged in using steam, the sub purchase went through but its not applying to my account, i already reset the EA password and its still the same. I still dont understand why we cant submit a private ticket, this is the only way i can find to report this issue

I have just returned after a few months away and when I logon I've lost my subscriber status, even though the money was paid on july 17th.
Have also reset the EA password (using same e-mail as my swtor one).
Username : Xexeim
What can be done?

Your account has been sent to studio for fixing, they should email when it is fixed
to subscribe for now as a workaround, if you install the game via steam and login and play on a character to be sure the accounts are linked , you can then subscribe via steam whilst this gets sorted

Hi,
I am having an issue with my account. I subscribed and for some reason it keeps saying i have to contact customer support. Same issues as others in the article. I am able to log into the game perfectly fine and access my account. Just cant get my paid subscription.

swtor username ? the swtor account attached to the EA account Medevilcop has no issue , so need the swtor username to get the correct account checked

Medevilcop is the account for both. unless it just unlocked and fixed itself. I can try waiting a day or so for the subscription to activate and come back if it does not resolve itself

I have the same issue for over a year and I can't sub I can't buy any coins I can't do a single thing with my account instead of being stuck at preferred... Display Name: bbelgu

having the same issues as everyone here, have tried to call the EA numbers as well and nothing seems to be working, an error occurs when I try to sub and the common reccomendation was to go and change password on the EA account and what not which ive done to no avail, have done or tried to do like everything can someone pls help Display Name: Anathan-Davis

@proxos666 Same issue. Change password and still "There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved"

My SWTOR account name is Bergerslayer, and I have only 1 character, Phokingawesome.
I am unable to purchase anything from the store. I am also unable to verify my email address to continue playing now that I hit level 20.
I changed my SWTOR password so it wouldn't match other passwords.

Support have asked if you can call them when the lines are open , so they can assist resolving this for you

I also have the issue of not being able to buy subscription (or Cartel coins for that matter).
EA account and Swtor account are both called Furyhorn.
I have checked to confirm that I have the same e-mail attached to both accounts.
The accounts are linked, because I see the failed orders from swtor.com over on the EA account side.
I have tried resetting my password.

There is no account issue , all purchase attempts are showing as declined by the bank
Their is a known issue with credit-cards from Denmark , maybe try using paypal or a different payment method , otherwise link the swtor account to steam and purchase via stream- 3 years ago
I am also having the same issue. Account name is Zeris and I have already tried resetting my password for both my EA Account and my SWTOR account, while also using incognito. I haven't had any luck with the phone number from the support page either, nor chat support who told me it is "likely a technical glitch and to try again later".
Out of frustration, I also tried to sub via Steam and found out how much of a disaster that is, too. I have screenshots of my sub transaction on Steam, if needed.
Edit: I think I solved the issue with the SWTOR website, but I do still have the outstanding issue of the Steam subscription that isn't working.

Trying to subscribe and I'm getting the same message as others.
"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance"
I have tried resetting my EA password, using Chrome and Safari incognito modes, clearing cache/cookies, etc.
I'm living in China, so I've tried using a VPN, and without a VPN, with UU box and without UU box.
Not sure what to do now - my account is StankDaddy (don't ask - long time ago).

Hi, i'm from Argentina, wanting to redeem "LotsSahar" code, and get the same alert:
"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance."
Ive already changed my EA acc password and verified the email and still get the error.
