I've tried and tried again, with all suggested things. Clearing DNS, Diskcheck, etc. I've opened ports, I've added exceptions to my AVG. Countless things. But It just wont do anything. The issue is ...
The easy solution, I think, would be to get rid of Bitraider. This would mean an complete re download of the Game.
You are starting the Game with Admin rights? You have enough space (25GB) on your HDD?
If you will try to repair the Game (could be faster) try the Launcher Repair Tool found in the swtor directory.
If that doesn't help delete the Bitaraider Folder, after that you could try changing the host dat to an different patch server.
