what server has the highest active population of players?
is there any way to view the server population at any givin time?

Not really. I mean you can go to the server select screen and see how many are on at the time.
In general if your in the U.S the top 3 most populated are:
1. Harbinger
2. Ebon Hawk
3. Progenitor
If your in the EU I heard it's Red Eclipse. EU:
Red Eclipse is the busiest, with various languages
T3-M4 if you wanna go German
Mantle of the Force for french speaking
