Wrong email used now steam linked to random account

I try to make a new account and must of put my email in wrong because I didn't get a verification email so I tried again made a new account got the email but now if I try to log in on steam it says "cant log you in make sure to use the correct steam account" so I assume the wrong email account got linked to me steam will that account be deleted after some time if the email isn't verified and then I can link my account
