Hi,I can't pass the last Akbar capital ship challenge to get him to 6*.What team did you use to succeed tier V ?My ships are all 5* and level 78 (no more money to level them up further) : Plo Koon, Fives, Ahsoka, Jedi Consular, Biggs and Wedge on backup.Thanks

Well, this thread just saved me a ton of time. I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong to keep failing this challenge. Turns out, the challenge is just ridiculous and poorly designed. I agree that it seems the developers don't bother to play their own game, but it's not really surprising. Anyway, this saved me a ton of time since now I can simply stop trying it and move on. It's unfortunate that the game has such poorly designed content. But fortunately, it isn't required and I can just choose to stop trying it. Thanks!

RNG. I used those ships. Rotating the taunt with Plo Koon special

It's not just you... even at 6-7* it was a pain. I think it took me 30+ attempts.Basically I would just retreat if I lost any ship during their first salvo.Eventually you will hit a match where the AI doesn't re-enforce and you can finish.Target JC/Ashoka first... Rex is pointless as he will just heal himself and others each turn, Clone SGT has too much health as well. Try and attack different ships and see how the AI reacts.As ElBarto said, use your republic ships to survive though the first salvo. That was pretty critical if I remember.

Apparently I need to report a bug - I have smart AI. I have played it over 30 times this morning - as soon as I finish destroying Ahsoka and JC, the AI reinforces. Every time. Can I have bugged, crappy AI please?

Whoa whoa WHOA! That is def a game breaking bug, you should report that immediately. I'd of gotten no where with a smart AI. What does CG think they are trying to pull?!

ok so same here. must have played about 70 times in a row.. finally got decent rng where it took it's time to reinforce. thanks all for sharing and encouraging. or I would have given up completely !

This is absolutely the most infuriating battle in the entire game. I use to like ships but if winning has nothing to do with strategy but rolling the dice enough where the ai makes horrible decisions and you win by technicality, the game feature is broken. It should be difficult, but with all 7* ships g10-11 pilots and upgraded skills it should be obtainable with out having to get my ipad replaced because i broke it in half with my bare hands through anger. Now i understand why every one hates ships. Additonally, how can i field the exact same ships as the opponent and i am target locked multiple times in the first round but for me to get a target lock it requires an act of god. Sorry just venting because at the level of my ships i should destroy anything the game can throw at me

Finally defeated this with these ships: lvl 75 Home One; 78 Jedi Const.; 75 Clone Sgt., Biggs, Wedge, Umbaran, Bistan, Resistance (all 5*, except 4* Umbaran and Bistan). Changed around which ships were in reinforcements but don't know if that made a difference.

lvl 82: 7* Biggs
lvl 80: 7* Ahsoka
lvl 80: 7* Wedge
lvl 80: 6* JC
lvl 80: 6* Umbaran

Reinforcements:
lvl 80: 6* resistance X-wing

I've gotten them down to 2 ships on my best attempt, but they resist all my attacks, I can never get target lock other than with Umbaran, and they basically destroy one ship on the opening volley or one is almost gone. This and 9b are both fucking ridiculous.

This pisses me off... because I have way more upgraded ships than this, yet I'm not even close.

So people really have had them not reinforce or use their special? Because, I just had a run where mace used his taunt 3 times and his immunity special 2 times before Akbars special was off cooldown.
