I am doing better with ships 2.0, (usually finish #1, if not then top 4), but I still voted 'no'. Imagine if EA just randomly decided to nerf CLS, JTR, or some other pivotal toon. Outrage and a justified outrage would result.
I'm pretty sure that exact thing has happened in the past.- I gave the update a chance, I just think ships is a complete mess since they ignored it for such a long time. If they wanted to start from scratch unleash the whole upgrade on us...new capital ships, new squad synergies, flood us with the ship omegas and reinforcement capabilities...nerfing damage across the board was a bad decision...when there needs to be a change in meta, add the counters(ships) dont take abilities away because that's a horrible investment: example all the time and resources spent on tie reaper...now you've just sent the message that our hard work can be nerfed at any time so why bother trying

If that's someone's mindset, they better give up on any online game ever. Go back to playing solitaire with cards. Developers will always make adjustments to re-balance in game forces. Not investing for fear of a "nerf" is going to leave a player with nothing to do. Demanding that nothing ever be nerfed because someone already invested in it leads to wild imbalances and massive powercreep. I built a Reaper - and got to use it for a whole week (first active in my shard). Does it stink it's on the shelf? Sure - that's time I could have spent working on something else. But it DID need to be adjusted."Trystan_Spyder;c-1575825" wrote:

Oh sure, I suppose you're going to say you don't remember the Ace of Diamonds being nerfed?"Trystan_Spyder;c-1575825" wrote:

So far CG countered a meta toon with another meta toon without nerfing anyone! Why didn't they just do it with ships - if you want to counter the Reaper and Imperial TIE don't nerf them, just buff the other ships or add new ones that can counter them, without spitting on player's time and effort on farming the Reaper! Is that so hard?"dimi4a;c-1576219" wrote:

I get the Reaper frustration - it was definitely diminished.
ITF though - I don't really think it was a nerf. Yes, it dodges less. But that dodge grants 50% TM to Imperial cap ships. And with fewer ships in play, it's almost always a race to the ultimate. A lucky dodge can completely change the course of the battle. I'd argue that ITF is even STRONGER in that regard."CooterChris;c-1576342" wrote:

Run a fast Tarkin, must be faster than the other cap ship. Open with TF special. After your cap ship goes, opposing cap ship uses AOE, your TF dodges, your cap ship goes again and you've got four ships out. This is just one of many strategies available to you if you think for a bit rather than just complaining.
You're welcome."TVF;c-1576634" wrote:

While all of this sounds good on theory and i indeed had the advantage with 4v2 ships, the RNG quickly turned the tables with 3 misses (2 on counterattack and 1 on basic) from my Slave 1 against the enemy's Imperial TIE... and of course his Chimaera got to the ultimate first and simply destroyed me!
