Jedi Rey Event

Have been playing for coming up on two years every day. Have not spent a dollar and will not. I have had a ton of fun with the game regardless, but this rey Jedi training character requirements is like a smack in the face of the players, the fans, and to me it should be considered as another pillar in the argument against micro transactions in games. I don’t understand why the Star Wars brand is allowed to be used in such a way as to encourage gambling in order to acquire the main character in the Star Wars trilogy we are in now. To have a movie tie in character that is being released the same day as the movie but the only way to acquire the necessary characters to unlock the character is through spending money on a chance to win shards for vets. You can buy the pack, which is a mixture of pay to play, and also just straight gambling in a closed economy. The “farm” is a form of gambling, but the way the game has worked for other characters is through various wait and play and recycle mechanic as a result of rng (i.e. gambling) and time locks. The truth is that they all know that very few that have not spent money will get the new rey, and that is the intention. It is a cash grab plain and simple and even if the event comes back every month, I hate that this is the way they treat some of their most active players that spend time in game and play on guilds with friends and strangers, and share a love for Star Wars. I have over 2.2 million gp. I have cls, all resistance gear 11 and 7 stars. All first order 7 stars an some gear 12, have bb8 ready. Yet my vets are sitting at 15/85. Been farming them since I could. Will not be able to get past first tier because of this. I’m disappointed.
