Jar jar was fine it was the writing and director.

Jar Jar would have gained my respect if he indeed was the sith lord responsible. The opposite of yoda. Jar jar just wasn't funny.

He was actually supposed to be a sith. There's a pretty interesting YouTube video on it

Actually it was the test groups. Jar jar was actually slated to be a with (no kidding). Watch when he addresses the senate and waves his hand like doing the mind control motion. The test group found that 1 jar jar did not fit the mold of the sixth enough and was out of place. 2. The minority group bashed that using him as a negative role model make all the great things minorities of that type do look negative. Many articles on it including Lucas avoiding discussing it after opening the can of worms in an interview.

8 million? For that sum of money you could:
1. buy your own dev team, buy rights and make better game;
2. hire some gangs, dress them in SW costumes, arm them, and make real life SW arena battle.

One can only imagine that being true.
